Compiler Settings
Users have different preferences for compiler settings. In general, I'll need to space the carriers further apart if I'm plating, racking, or interleaving to knit both sides of a neckline and sometimes when I'm using heavier yarns. If the tension settings are correct but the right-hand edge stitches are too loose, lowering the carrier (yarn feeder) spacing and stopping distance sometimes fixes the issue. I usually start with the carrier spacing at 3 and the stopping distance at 3.5 and adjust from there. (The numbers refer to the number of needle positions away from the nearest needle in action.) Tension settings can affect these settings.
